Day 18/180: Math, Presidential Hair, Natural Science, and Eritrea

Yesterday, we watched two movies, so I didn't count it as a school day, but I did want to make a note that we did math.  From our math book!  Two chapters, plus some extra problems and manipulatives for reinforcement.  Yay!
Math

Also, yesterday, we visited a music store, and learned about flutes, piccolos, mandolins, lutes, banjos, and more.  And ate Korean/Japanese food.  Culture!
Cutest ukulele ever.

Today was the Academy of Natural Sciences.  I wanted to see the presidential hair before the exhibit closes on Sunday.
George Washington's hair!

John Adam's hair!

An entire book of famous old hair!

We also saw dinosaurs, dioramas, and living creatures

The secrets of taxidermy

We saw a couple of DNC donkeys.

Then ate Eritrean food.  We had planned on seeing Shakespeare in Clark Park, but it rained, so we drove home and played ukuleles instead.  And, of course, read before bed.  And, of course, Jane read three graphic novels (one about the Titanic), and started a chapter book about Queen Elizabeth in the car.
