Day 20/180: Reading, Valley Forge Pokemon Hunt, Sewing, Pen Pal Letter, and Math

Today, for Jane, started with a couple hours of reading Araminta Spooky in the car and doctor's office waiting room.  Then, on to Pokemon Go at Valley Forge.
We walked past General Knox's headquarters, across a bridge, past a pretty Revolutionary War cold storage building that looked like a hobbit house, and turned around at this former greenhouse, because my sandals had broken and we needed to get them to a shoe repair shop.  We also conquered a battle gym for the blue team!

After lunch, we finished sewing a new cover for her Dad's camping pillow, with the fabric we screen printed yesterday, using our Project Runway screen printing kit.

Then, finished and mailed a pen pal letter that was started yesterday, with the accompanying "Girl Book".
Beginning of the letter

Girl Book - to be filled out and mailed back

Jane added her entries to the lists

Next, math time.  Jane did a round of multiplication high fives, then some Prodigy Math Game.  We renewed our subscription, and moved her up to third grade.  She proved to the system that she can identify a trapezoid, read a horizontal bar graph, and understand place value.  Then, it moved her on to three digit subtraction with borrowing.

After math was a visit to the optometrist, supper, and bedtime reading.  Also, secret after bedtime reading.  She's a rebel.  Hidden behind her door were See Inside Ships, See Inside Science, and See Inside World Atlas.
